The following proposal was presented to the Lewiston Town Board on September 26, 2016.

The existing Code of Ethics is over forty years old and in need of updating. The Alliance compiled the following proposal for Board comments, approval, and acceptance. We asked the status of our proposed policy and was told it needed amending. The Alliance was informed that Mr. Bax had made numerous notes regarding our proposal and wanted to meet with us to share his comments, changes, and suggestions. We asked to see his notes prior to meeting with him; instead, we received numerous copies of policies pertaining to various government entities. Some of these policies dated back as far as 1989, making them irrelevant. The Alliance believes this is a delay tactic and will once again request to meet with Mr. Bax to discuss this further.
